The 2020 will be on sale in the fall with pricing still to be announced, and it will continue to be offered in S, SV and SL trim levels. The features for each trim level and the options packages also have been revised.

Exterior

The most visible change is a new front end that is a bit more differentiated from its bigger sibling, the Rogue SUV. Changes include a new hood, a revised Nissan "V-Motion" grille, a more aggressive bumper and signature LED daytime running lights; in the rear, there's a new taillight design. A new 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design is being offered, and the paint palette gets two new metallic colors, Nitro Lime and Monarch Orange.

Interior

The 2020 Rogue Sport interior carries over, including with the 2019 updates that included an audio system with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available Bose nine-speaker premium audio. Also standard is a rear door alert to prevent inadvertently leaving kids or belongings behind.

Under the Hood

The powertrain also carries over with a 141-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission, with front- or all-wheel drive.

Safety

The current offering on the SV and SL trim levels of Nissan's full-featured Safety Shield 360 package of safety and driver-assistance technology is expanded for 2020 to make it available on the base S trim level. The package includes a front collision system with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, rear automatic braking, lane departure warning, automatic high beams, and blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.

Still optional for 2020 is Nissan's ProPilot Assist system that assists drivers with acceleration, steering and braking to navigate traffic and stay in their lane under certain conditions, primarily during single-lane highway driving.
