DiRT Rally 2.0 Videos & Screenshots: New Cars, New Locations, & "Stage Degradation"

With the holidays upon us, it can be easy to forget just how close we are to the release of Codemasters’ highly anticipated DiRT Rally 2.0. The game launches on February 26, 2019, and a batch of new content has been revealed as an early Christmas surprise.

First up is the new “Rally Through the Ages” trailer, which shows off a collection of older cars. The line-up consists of some of the most recognizable cars in the sport, including the Ford Escort MK2, Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2, the Subaru Impreza WRC, and the Alpine Renault A110 1600S.

More information also landed during the latest “DiRT Show Live” with the Codemasters team.

One of the highlights in the 37-minute video is gameplay footage of the Porsche 997 rally car in Spain, and we also get more details about the game’s stage degradation. Road surfaces have 150 different levels of deterioration, with more loose rocks and gravel on the stages at first, and more ruts later on after cars have traveled over it.

Other highlights include the Peugeot 208 T16 R5 at the new Poland location (look for it around the 19:29 mark) and the Renault Megane RX at the Silverstone rallycross track at 32:57.

If you don’t have time to watch the entire video, GTPlanet member ProjectWHaT has compiled a list of the top highlights for you right here.

We expect DiRT Rally 2.0 news to pick up steam after the new year, so stay tuned!
