Tata Tiago XT variant discontinued

Tata Motors has discontinued the XT variant of the Tiago. The hatchback is now available in 5 variants – XE, XM, XZ, XZO and XZ+.

Safety features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Corner Stability Control, reverse parking sensors, passenger seat belt reminder and speed alert system are now standard across all variants. The base XE trim gets 13-inch wheels with hub caps, air-conditioning, internally adjustable ORVMs, dual-tone interiors and a 2.5-inch MID.

The XM variant gets 13-inch wheels with half wheel caps, manual central locking, power windows and speed depending auto door lock. The new XZ variant gets 14-inch steel wheels with dual-tone wheel caps, electrically adjustable ORVMs, Harman infotainment system with 4 speakers and Bluetooth as well as a multi-function steering wheel.

The XZO trim comes with 14-inch steel rims with dual-tone wheel caps, ORVMs with LED turn signals, front fog lamps, day/night IRVM, rear wiper, washer and defogger, cooled glove box and a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the XZ+ variant gets 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, dual-tone roof, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver seat, electric folding ORVMs and projector headlamps. The automated manual transmission (AMT) is available in XZA and XZA+ trims.

There has been no change in the powertrain options. The Tiago is available with the same 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 84 BHP and 114 Nm of torque and a 1.05-litre, 3-cylinder diesel that puts out 69 BHP and 140 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
