Haas F1 suffers its worst qualifying of the season in Mexico

The Haas F1 team suffered their worst qualifying of the 2018 season Saturday with P16 for Romain Grosjean and P18 for Kevin Magnussen in Mexico.

It was the team’s worst qualifying session since this time last year when both cars also made their exit from the qualifying session in Q1. This year however both drivers will move up a spot after a grid penalty for Toro Rosso driver Pierre Gasly is applied.

“Yeah, there’s something about Mexico and the Haas team that doesn’t quite work yet,” said Grosjean. “We won’t give up and we will try to keep working hard in the future but definitely something we’ve been struggling with a little bit here is, since FP1 the car didn’t feel as good as it has recently. We’ve been working, trying different things but couldn’t quite get it right.
