McLaren 600LT Spider MSO Debuts With Vivid Green Accents

The interior has the seats from the Senna.

The McLaren 600LT Spider gets some love from the McLaren Special Operations customization team that gives the roadster an even more eye-catching appearance. The stylish model debuts to the public at the Geneva Motor Show.

MSO covers the 600LT Spider’s body in Dove Grey. Napier Green accents add a bright contrast along the sides of the machine, brake calipers, and on the tips of the aerodynamic components like the front splitter and rear diffuser’s ribs. The customization division uses a new technique to apply the green color that puts the shade onto a light, flexible film first and then affixes it to the panel. The company uses the same method on the 720S GT3 and 570S GT4 race cars. To lend more visual texture, the retractable roof is MSO Bespoke’s Carbon Black Shade.

The special 600LT Spider also wears MSO’s satin-finished, carbon fiber pieces, including for the front fender louvers. The machine rides on the division’s 10-spoke forged wheels with a gloss-black finish.

On the inside, there’s more Napier Green covering the seat stitching and the 12 o’clock spot on the steering wheel. Carbon fiber adorns the door inserts and sides of the center tunnel. Occupants sit in the lightweight, highly bolstered seats from the Senna hypercar. The retracting roof has an Alcantara headliner. MSO also etches the 600LT emblem into the accelerator pedal.

MSO leaves the 600LT Spider’s powertrain alone. A mid-mounted 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 592 horsepower (442 kilowatts) and 457 pound-feet (620 Newton-meters), and the engine’s output routes through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The roadster can hit 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 2.8 seconds – just like the hardtop.
