The 2020 MCL35 Is McLaren's Best Hope Yet for Another Successful Season

After months of teasing, McLaren has finally revealed its 2020 Formula 1 car entry today ahead of the first week of testing. The livery is a nice mix of the company’s familiar papaya orange color scheme, paired with highlights of blue and black trim.

Drivers Carlos Sainz Jr. and Lando Norris return as drivers for the 2020 season, with Renault being retained as suppliers for the car’s 1.6-liter V-6 turbocharged hybrid power units.

McLaren enjoyed its best season in recent memory in 2019, finishing fourth in the constructor’s championship. Sainz Jr. finished an impressive sixth place in the driver’s championship, while rookie Norris raked in a total of 49 points over the season. If the car is as strong as it was last year, the two should be in for another prosperous championship run.

We’ll get to see our first real look at the MCL35 next week starting February 19, 2020 once testing begins at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
