Barefoot's Egg-Shaped Travel Trailers Are Coming To U.S. In 2020

Production should begin early next year.

nuCamp RV, selling the TAB, TAB 400, and TAG teardrop campers and trailers in North America, will add another smart member to its lineup. Starting next year, the company will also offer its customers the compact travel trailers of Barefoot Caravans. Yay!

“We are excited to combine the unique Barefoot design with the hallmark nuCamp quality,” nuCamp CEO, Scott Hubble, comments. “We are thrilled to have Barefoot as part of the nuCamp RV family.”

Barefoot Caravans’ trailers are designed in Great Britain and have a fiberglass body with retro, egg-shaped design. All the main components of a Barefoot trailer are made in the UK where the company began manufacturing caravans back in 2015. The firm explains its product is “a head-turner, conversation starter, and is just right for the camper who likes to stand out.”

“This is a very special day for Barefoot,” Cathy Chamberlain, Barefoot Caravans’ managing director, adds. “We have had thousands of inquiries from the USA and Canada and wanted to find a partner to meet that demand. We are delighted to be working with nuCamp – they share our same work ethics and quality standards.”

Production for the North American market is scheduled to begin early next year and you can register for more information as it becomes available here. No prices have been announced yet, but in the United Kingdom, the base model starts at £25,500 or about $33,460 at the current exchange rates, of which £1,000 ($1,312) are a non-refundable deposit.

The most expensive optional feature is an awning with included awning rail which costs £1,295 ($1,700), while two cushions are just £50 ($65). Once an order is placed, the customer can customize some of the features of his caravan trailer – a unique body color, for example, is additional £600 ($787). Barefoot Caravans provides a two-year warranty.
