Deutsche Post DHL already operates 10,000 electric vans, produced by its own subsidiary StreetScooter.
Deutsche Post DHL presented the 10,000th StreetScooter that entered service at DHL delivery base Cologne Ehrenfeld in Germany.
DHL currently operates also 12,000 electric bikes and 13,500 charging points. It’s a huge endeavor for a single company, compared to around 20,650 public and semi-public charging points in Germany.
StreetScooter WORK
The all-electric delivery vans StreetScooter WORK Box and StreetScooter WORK L Box are produced by DHL’s subsidiary StreetScooter, which at two plants in Aachen und Düren has a capacity of up to 20,000 units per year (current production is way below the maximum capacity).
Additionally, the StreetScooter WORK is available for 3rd party companies and some ordered hundreds of vehicles.
StreetScooter WORK XL
Additionally, StreetScooter produces also the StreetScooter WORK XL model with Ford – technically Ford assembles vehicles at its plant in Cologne using Ford Transit chassis and StreetScooter’s drivetrain.
