2019 LMC Truck C10 Nationals

One of the first events to pop up on our truck calendar, now for the second time, is the LMC Truck C10 Nationals during the first weekend in May. Set amongst the infield of the Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth, Texas, was a gathering of Chevy and GMC trucks ranging from 1947 to 2019, not to be surpassed at any other national event. With a registration count nearing 1,000 trucks by Saturday’s end, the second annual C10 Nats had cemented itself as one of the leading truck shows in the country.

And yet while the show and shine itself was somewhat of a spectacle, there were plenty of other attractions for the participant and spectator alike. The packed vendor space gave way to a modest but growing swap meet area that then yielded to a large autocross course that was active throughout the weekend with the sounds of fast trucks being driven hard. Saturday morning saw some dragstrip action, while that afternoon gave way to a burnout contest. Plenty of excitement to entertain the spectators, every truck entered in the show was encouraged to take part in any and all of the extracurricular activities.

By Saturday’s end, everyone had gathered around as the C10 Nats crew doled out the awards, of which there were plenty. At least two for every year break, Truck of the Year and Runner Up, as well as more general categories such as Best Paint, Best Lowered, and Best Garage Build. Winners for the drag racing, autocross, and the burnout contest were also recognized and given custom-built trophies. The big award went to Robert Cox for his 1968 Chevy, who was presented with the C10 Truck of The Year.

The biggest winner, no doubt, was Robert Gerbig of Coffee City, Texas, who drove home the LMC Truck C10 Nationals Week to Wicked 1972 C10. Those loyal readers will recognize the 1972 from our latest Week to Wicked coverage. Robert won the pickup, simply by registering for the show.
