Few things are as American as the station wagon. Long before the term SUV was coined these long roof cars we doing everything from hauling surf boards, towing race cars, conquering the Junior Stock drag race class and of course serving as a grocery getter and vacation vehicle for super moms.
Their roots are in the days of woodies, but the basic shape remains unchanged for over 70 years. This versatility is not lost on the modern hot rodder and so it is no surprise to see plenty of station wagons rolling into the NSRA Street Rod Nationals. Having been long time fans of the station wagon we took some time to capture a selection for wagons for your viewing pleasure. They range from mild to wild, ordinary to super rare but they all share the same great American heritage. SRM
