Vehicles Affected: Approximately 530 model-year 2020 Audi Q8 SUVs
The Problem: An insufficient weld on a transmission oil pipe may cause the vehicle to leak automatic transmission fluid, which could cause the road surface to become slippery while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the transmission oil pipe and replace it, if necessary, for free.
What Owners Should Do: Audi manufacturer Volkswagen will begin notifying owners July 10. Owners can call VW at 800-253-2834, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
