Lexus has announced the second Black Line Special Edition for the 2020 Lexus NX 300 in the US, now available on both the FWD and AWD models. A Black Line Special Edition was offered for the NX F Sport earlier this year, but this one isn’t just a replica of that SE – the name’s the same but it looks different.
Exclusive exterior and interior design elements have been included to highlight the NX’s sharp and sleek styling, plus the addition of standard Android Auto integration.
The Black Line Special Edition builds on the Premium Package with unique 18-inch bronze-finished wheels accented by colour key overfenders – a first for the NX family. The three exterior colours available are Eminent White Pearl, Nebula Gray Pearl or Matador Red Mica. The blacked out parts can be found on the Lexus spindle grille, fog lamp housing and wing mirror caps.
Inside, the bronze theme continues with bronze stitching on the seats, center console, door trim, floor mats and key gloves. Black Line signature items include a black headliner and additional features such as heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel and Lexus Memory System.
With a limited run of 2,000 units, the 2020 NX 300 Black Line Special Edition is available on front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models. It will be available in US dealerships in November.
In Malaysia, the NX 300 range was recently refreshed, combining lowered prices with improved equipment levels (Lexus Safety System + is now standard across the board), making it a more attractive proposition. The NX 300 is powered by a 2.0 litre turbo-four with 235 hp and 350 Nm, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. 0-100 km/h is done in 7.1 seconds and top speed is 200 km/h. Local prices range from RM313,888 for the Urban to RM349,888 for the F Sport.
