2020 Lexus RX Video: Small Updates Add Up to Big Changes

The 2020 Lexus RX isn’t completely new this year, but it gets a mild update and those changes go pretty deep. There’s a new touchscreen and a lot of little features inside and out that make this refresh significant.

Outside, its styling is tweaked a little with a new grille pattern, slimmer headlights and repositioned foglights. The overall look is a little angrier than the outgoing model.

The biggest (and most welcome) change is on the inside where there’s now a standard touchscreen. It replaces the annoying mouse-and-joystick-type system that plagued prior models and was very difficult to use.

The new screen setup offers a standard 8-inch unit or an optional, wide 12.3-inch one — and it’s a very good execution … if you can reach it. It requires a bit of a stretch for the driver to reach out. Once you’re able to access the system, it’s a breeze to use — especially the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces.
