It's about to be a really busy year at the Lincoln brand as the company brings not one but two all-new crossover SUVs to the showrooms later this year. The first one is the previously introduced 2020 Lincoln Aviator, a seven-passenger SUV. And at the smaller end of the spectrum is the new 2020 Lincoln Corsair, which replaces the Lincoln MKC; like the MKC, it's based on the Ford Escape, but Lincoln has done an extraordinary job creating a stand-alone model considerably different from the new Escape. We're going to show you some of the new cool features that make the new Corsair something special.
The look is considerably different from the Escape – you'd never know they were related. The Corsair bears far more resemblance to the bigger Aviator in terms of front-end style, the signature taillights and the roofline. It doesn't have the Aviator's rear-wheel-drive proportions, however, so it's not a case of simply being smaller; it's a front-wheel-drive crossover with optional all-wheel drive, so it's going to have a different silhouette.

Just like the Aviator, the blacked-out pillars create a floating-roof look for the Corsair, different from the Navigator or the Nautilus. But what's more important is that Lincoln has created a dramatic, classy, clean design that doesn't look like … well, something out of an "Alien Vs. Predator" movie.
On the inside, Lincoln's signature look that we've loved on the Navigator and Aviator has filtered down to the new Corsair. The dash is remarkably flat and vertical; it's broken up by a large horizontal spar that houses the climate-control vents and adds visual width to the cabin. A floating center console provides for storage beneath, as well as the opportunity for a neat touch: a little Lincoln star projection from a hidden LED light.
