Late last year, Dodge added its Gold Rush paint color to the Challenger lineup. It was a color that was originally reserved for the 50th Anniversary Challenger special edition, but Dodge eventually saw it fit to give buyers looking at any Challenger the chance to go for gold. Now Dodge is expanding Gold Rush to an expansive range of the Challenger’s four-door Charger siblings for 2021.
Gold Rush is coming available on Dodge Charger R/T, Scat Pack, Scat Pack Widebody, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye models. In case you’ve forgotten, you can no longer get a Hellcat without the widebody option because, well, handling and looks, among other things. If you opt for the gold color, you’ll also have to be okay with a satin-black-painted roof, hood, and rear decklid. The black nicely breaks up the extremely bright gold paint job, though.
Apparently, the decision to add Gold Rush to the Charger’s color palette was inspired by a much higher demand for Gold Rush Challengers than Dodge initially expected. But if the Red Bull-colored paint scheme isn’t for you, there are still plenty of exuberant options available for chargers. Among them are Frostbite, Hellraisin, Sinamon Stick, TorRed, and perhaps the best of all, F8 Green.
Gold Rush will be added to the Charger’s option list this spring. So if you really want to turn heads in your V-8 powered Charger, you only have to wait a few more weeks to put in an order.
