We first laid eyes on the 2022 Acura RDX back in September, checking out its revised styling and suspension improvements, among other updates. Now Acura is here to tell us the price tag that will accompany its updated SUV.
Remember, all RDXs are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 making a stout 272 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, backed up by a 10-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is a $2,000 option; front-wheel-drive is standard. New features include styling that is inspired by the bigger Acura MDX and a whole bunch of sound deadening enhancements to make the interior more serene. Available adaptive dampers have been retuned to be sharper in Sport mode and more comfortable in Comfort mode. Also worth noting is the now-standard inclusion of Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Alexa Built-in.
Pricing for the base FWD RDX starts at $40,345, and the EPA rates it at 22 mpg city/28 mpg highway. The 2021 model year RDX started at $39,445, so the 2022 model year represents a $900 price jump. The RDX tops out with the PMC Edition, which is limited to 200 units and starts at $55,295. Other pricing is as follows:
- RDX (FWD): $40,345
- RDX (FWD) with Technology Package: $42,995
- RDX (FWD) A-Spec, Technology Package: $45,995
- RDX (AWD): $42,545
- RDX (AWD) with Technology Package: $45,195
- RDX (AWD) A-Spec, Technology Package: $48,195
- RDX (AWD) with Advance Package: $50,345
- RDX (AWD) A-Spec, Advance Package: $52,345
- RDX (AWD) PMC Edition: $55,295
The 2022 RDX goes on sale on November 2, and the order books are open right now.
