Aston Martin has yet another hypercar on the way, which is being referred to as Project 003 for now. The yet-unnamed model will be the third hypercar to be developed by the company after the Valkyrie and Valkyrie AMR Pro (formerly 001 and 002), and is slated to be launched in late 2021.
Details are limited at this point, but Project 003 will be built around a lightweight structure that is joined by active aerodynamics and active suspension systems. The powertrain is said to feature a turbocharged petrol-electric hybrid engine, which differs from the Valkyrie’s naturally-aspirated mill (also electrified).
Another point of difference is practicality, as Aston Martin says Project 003 is “designed and engineered to offer more practical concessions to road use, including space for luggage.”
Based on the provided teaser image, the vehicle appears to have a rather wide track and narrow cabin section. Hints of the coupe’s aerodynamic components can also be partly seen, including a slippery roof that leads into what looks like top-mounted exhaust outlets and a slim-profile rear wing.
The upcoming Aston Martin model will be fully homologated and available in both left- and right-hand drive markets. Only 500 example of the car will be made, with the first arriving to market in late 2021, as mentioned at the start.
