Bentley Continental GT gets new limited edition model to commemorate Pikes Peak record – only 15 units

It was back in July this year that Bentley set a new production car record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and the British carmaker has now released a new limited-edition model to commemorate its success at the event.

Available from order this month, the celebratory model is limited to just 15 examples and is based on the range-topping variant powered by a twin-turbo W12 engine. The 6.0 litre mill here is unchanged, and continues to churn out 635 PS (626 hp) and 900 Nm of torque, which is good for a zero to 100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds and top speed of 333 km/h.

What makes the Pikes Peak edition car special is a number of unique styling touches, starting with a carbon-fibre and Radium by Mulliner paintwork, the latter mirroring the colours scheme used on the car driven by Rhys Millen to set the new record. The car also gets gloss black accents on the front lower bumper inserts, roof panel, wing mirrors and rear surfaces.

Other exterior highlights include brake calipers painted in Acid Green, a Pikes Peak decal on the front bumper, and 22-inch wheels wrapped with Pirelli P Zero Colour Edition tyres. As an option, you can even specify the “100” grille as a reminder of the model’s achievement during Bentley’s centenary year.

Moving inside, more touches of Radium can be found on the Alcantara upholstery that is joined by Beluga leather trims. The coloured stitching also adorns the steering wheel in a honeycomb pattern, while a combination of carbon-fibre and piano black surfaces add to the sporty theme, again with touches of Radium.

Reminders of the Pikes Peak record include a graphic on the passenger-side fascia, which also has the record-setting time of 10:18.488, along with embroidered seats and door sills. More detailing can be found on speaker covers of the B&O sound system, with other features being the Bentley Rotating Display, deep pile overmats and comfort seats.
