Despite initially slowing down, the vehicle in front flashes his hazard lights and bolts away at breakneck speed.
The car is seen flashing through a roundabout with no hesitation before he joins a one-lane B road in the middle of the countryside.
Flashing past trees and fellow road users at rapid speed, police momentarily struggle to keep up with him on the bumpy road surface.
It’s only after police round a bend where they find the car slumped on its roof after suffering a heavy crash.
The vehicle appears to have broken through a rock wall before being propped up by a grass verge.
The chase lasted for a total of three and a half miles in the offender’s desperate attempt to outrun officers.
The footage was released by North Wales Police to warn motorists to avoid the dangers of the road.
Lee Joseph Sumner hit speeds of up to 60mph through the small town of Abergale but speeds were higher throughout the journey.

The car eventually came to a rest at the entrance of the North Welsh village of Llandudlas.
The vehicle flipped into the air and landed on its roof in a collision that knocked the driver completely unconscious.
Sumner was removed from his vehicle by police officers who realised they could smell alcohol.
He was taken to hospital where he made a recovery after the incident on 20 June 2019.

Appearing at court, Sumner was jailed for 12 months and banned from driving for 42 months after a blood test revealed he was over the drink-drive limit.
He admitted charges of dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to stop.
The courts were also told Sumner even turned off his headlights during the chase in another safety risk.
Sumner must also take an extended retest at the end of his driving ban to be allowed back on UK roads.
At sentencing, Judge Huw Rees claimed Sumner could have killed someone during the incident.
He said: “It doesn’t need me to tell you you could have killed yourself or someone else. With your record, you should have realised the game was up and stopped.”
The court heard Sumner has five previous convictions for drink driving and one dangerous driving charge dated from 2007.
Speaking to police after his accident, Sumner claimed he was brain dead and hadn’t stopped for police because he realised he was over the drink-drive limit.
His defence said Sumner had reacted in an inappropriate way and it was good fortune no one else was injured.
The defence added Sumner had shown genuine remorse and regret for his actions.
