Drako Motors has unveiled its first model, which has potential to be among the quickest road-legal EVs at the race tracks
The all-electric red Drako GTE supercar was one of the premieres at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance and one of the several new BEVs at the show.
According to Drako Motors, the GTE uses a chassis structure from Fisker Karma – this is why even with new panels it still reminds us of the plug-in hybrid Karma a little bit.
The strongest point of the track-oriented GTE seems to be the 900 kW quad motor powertrain with torque vectoring, powered from 90 kWh battery.
“A chassis structure from Fisker was specifically selected for GTE as the platform met the structural and design criteria for an incredible grand coupé. The long wheelbase comfortably accommodates four passengers as well as GTE’s quad motor powertrain and floor-mounted battery – both of which contribute to an extremely low center of gravity for superior handling and driving dynamics.”
Drako Motors plans to produce 25 GTE, starting in 2020, with a price tag of $1.25 million.
As deposit holders are promised to get “the opportunity to experience GTE’s performance firsthand on the track at a customer experience event this November”, hopefully, we will see some more videos from the track.
