After a year of waiting and an entire reality series dedicated to its creation, Ken Block and Hoonigan’s lastest action-packed drift montage video, Gymkhana Ten, is finally free to watch for the general public after launching as an Amazon Prime exclusive last month. It’s easily the best Gymkhana yet.
This time around, Gymkhana isn’t just focused on one car and one location. The tenth iteration of the video series is a mash-up of Block’s greatest hits, bringing in five of his tire-slaying machines and traveling to five different locations around the world. In addition to the newly-introduced 914-horsepower Ecoboost V6-powered Hoonitruck, the 1400-horsepower twin-turbo all-wheel drive Hoonicorn Mustang makes a return, along with Block’s Focus RS RX rallycross championship car, his M-Sport Fiesta WRC car, and his Ford Escort RS rally car. Locations include Luleå Norbotten, Sweden, Detroit, Michigan, Guanajuato, Mexico, Los Angeles, California, and Shamrock, Texas on Route 66. Block shreds through iced-over lakes, city streets, warehouses, quiet neighborhoods, wide-open desert roads, junkyards, and everything in-between. At one point, he even drives his Escort on no tires at all, using Fifteen52 wheels to put on a massive spark show. We hope the film team had a fire extinguisher or two on hand, because it looks incredibly sketchy.
As with every other Gymkhana video, there are a ton of impossibly well-executed drifts, close calls, and weird stunts, all caught on video for us to enjoy. The best part? Block doesn’t pull off Gymkhana Ten alone. He’s joined by a host of notable stars, including 16-year old rally car driver Oliver Solberg, daredevil legend Travis Pastrana, and TV personalities Rob Dyrdek and Aaron Kaufman. It’s truly the biggest, most action-packed Gymkhana video yet. No matter which of Block’s cars you’re into, you won’t be disappointed. Watch it right here.
