On Nov. 22 in London, Land Rover will unveil a second-generation redesign for its compact SUV, the Range Rover Evoque. Until then, the British marque behind half a dozen SUVs has placed wireframe sculptures of the next-gen Evoque across the city. The sculptures suggest the SUV's next generation will carry similar themes to the current one: oversized fenders with large wheels; straight roof and beltlines that nearly converge as they reach the tail; and a chunky, body-heavy profile with thin openings up front. Land Rover calls the frames a life-size representation of the next-gen Evoque, which it promises will embody a "reductive design philosophy" of simplicity.
This isn't the first time Land Rover teased a new Evoque by way of wires: Three years ago, the brand scattered wireframe sculptures about London for the then-new Evoque Convertible, and the sculptures proved true to the production car that debuted weeks later.

The next-gen Evoque debuts in full Nov. 22 at 7:45 p.m. GMT, and advance orders for certain markets will commence at the same time, Land Rover says. That's late morning or early afternoon in the U.S., depending on your time zone, on a day that evokes more ovening than ogling. If you have time to break away — or someone else is doing the yeoman's work while you bring a store-bought appetizer, you lucky dog — check out Land Rover's live stream of the reveal.
