Land Rover’s iconic Range Rover SUV, which the automaker calls “the original luxury SUV,” is turning 50 this year. To celebrate the Range Rover’s golden, Sally O’Malley anniversary, Land Rover will build 1,970 special-edition Range Rover 50 models.

The Range Rover 50 will be available in both standard- and long-wheelbase versions, all powered by a 518-horsepower, supercharged 5.0-liter V-8. It will wear one of two specific 22-inch wheel designs and feature a number of dark “bespoke” exterior accents in a color Land Rover calls Auric Atlas.
Most models will be available in one of four exterior colors: Carpathian Grey, Rosello Red, Aruba (think metallic beige) or Santorini Black. “Extremely limited numbers” of Range Rover 50s will receive one of three special heritage paint colors: Tuscan Blue, Bahama Gold or Davos White. All models will also wear special “Fifty” script badging on the exterior, matching the script inside on the head restraints, dashboard, door sills and the “1 of 1970” plaque on the center console.
Pricing and additional details will be released closer to the Range Rover 50’s on-sale date later in 2020, according to Land Rover.
