“La Reunión Latinoamericana,” or the Latin American Meeting, is returning to the 2020 International Car Rental Show, taking place at Caesars Las Vegas, March 22-24.
Designed for car rental operators serving Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, the seminars will answer questions about the specific challenges faced by Latin American operators of the car rental industry. The seminars will be presented in Spanish.
This year, the three seminars that comprise the meeting will be held during the concurrent sessions on Monday March 23 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
In “Service vs. Sales: The Everyone Wins Scenario,” consultant Robert Gordon will examine the pressures that low daily rates in certain parts of Latin America affects operators. He’ll demonstrate the latest customer service measurements and how to maximize GDS and broker relationships as well as and monetize improvements in customer service.
In “New Mobility Models in Latin America – Opportunities or Threats?” automotive entrepreneur Carlos Bazan and Paulo Gaba, CEO of Europcar Brazil, will discuss the developments with new mobility models such as ride-hailing, carsharing, peer-to-peer, subscription and other services specific to Latin America.
Bazan and Gaba will demonstrate which models are gaining traction, how they’re impacting individual markets, and whether car rental can take part.
Finally, Miguel Fernandez, founder of Claimbot, and Matheus Riolfi, cofounder and CEO of Tint.ai, will define artificial intelligence (AI) as it relates to car rental. They’ll show AI can provide dynamic car rental rates and insurance-type product pricing, streamline processes, align sales opportunities to customer preferences, and automate vehicle inspection processes.
