Lexus is not going to let its Toyota sibling hog the entire sports-car spotlight with its much-anticipated new Supra next month in Detroit at the 2019 North American International Auto Show. The luxury brand has announced with a teaser photo that it will roll out a 2020 RC F Track Edition coupe that will be the hottest Lexus available.

No other details were offered, but the new version of the coupe will be more than an aggressive appearance package, a Toyota official said.
"With the exception of LFA, this is the fastest, most powerful vehicle we've ever built," said Bob Carter, Toyota's executive VP for sales in North America, speaking to Automotive News.
Carter added that, like the 500-copy LFA from 2012, the RC F Track Edition's production will be "very, very limited."
The LFA super-expensive supercar was powered by a 552-horsepower V-10. The current RC F has a 467-hp V-8, second in the Lexus power pecking order to the LC coupe's 471 hp. That makes 500-plus a good bet for the new Track Edition RC F, and the Track Edition name indicates that the go-fast upgrades will be more thorough than just the engine.
The teaser photo shows a matte-finish Track Edition's wing, a carbon-fiber jewel with the F logo embroidered in the fiber strands. Beyond being currently trendy, the carbon fiber may also be an homage to the LFA's carbon-fiber chassis and body construction.
