Living Vehicle builds luxury travel trailers that are “living vehicles” in every sense of the word. Based in Santa Barbara, California, the company emphasizes high design and innovation and recently launched its flagship model. The 2022 Living Vehicle Pro-EV is a state-of-the-art camper that incorporates high-quality materials, forward-thinking technology, performance, and sustainability. This extremely sophisticated camper runs on solar power and can also charge your electric vehicle thanks to its integrated Level 2 fast charger.
Think of the Pro-EV as a high-tech micro-home on wheels. Built for all seasons, it’s powered by Living Vehicle’s so-called “LV Energy System.” The automotive-grade system has 58 kilowatt-hours of storage capacity, solar panels that generate 3,520 watts of power, and a 20-kW hybrid inverter. When solar is not available, it uses a Cummins Onan QG generator—powered by an onboard propane storage system—to replenish energy.
The Pro-EV is made from over 95 percent aluminum and has a GVWR of 18,000 pounds, a 4,500-pound payload capacity, and 228.0 cubic feet of storage space. It comes equipped with Living Vehicle’s Solar Awning and Pro Night Treatment packages, a fold-down deck rated at 1,500 lbs, and an automatic four-point leveling system. An available Off-Road Capability package adds upgraded torsion axles, all-terrain tires, a rear-mounted full-size spare, and a 2.0-inch receiver hitch.
If you’re looking to go completely off-grid and away from society, this well-equipped and self-supporting camper fits the bill. The kitchen has a 13.0-cubic-foot refrigerator, a three-burner stainless stove, a removable kitchen island with storage, a microwave, a multi-drawer pantry, and plenty of cabinet storage space. The living area features a sofa and lounge that convert into a queen bed, a hardwood dining table, eight-foot sliding glass patio doors, and a media center.
In the bedroom, you get a memory foam queen-sized bed, two nightstands, a residential-sized closet, a side-by-side dresser, and a skylight. The spa-style bathroom features a multi-flow shower panel system, a floor-level hardwood deck mat, a skylight, a glass vessel sink, and a full-height toilet. Solar-powered air conditioning is standard, and a second A/C unit helps keep the place cool during those hot summer days. Last but not least, this camper has three-zone heating for the bedroom, living area, and bathroom controlled via a digital wall thermostat.
Switching gears to the more fun stuff, the Pro-EV is fully customizable with an array of optional packages that transform the interior space into an ultra-luxury mobile home. Among the most premium add-ons are a chef’s kitchen, a mobile office, and a spa bathroom. Additional upgrades include the split-queen adjustable bed, washer/dry combo unit, private theater with a 70.0-inch pull-down screen, Sonos sound system, and extended Wi-Fi connectivity.
The all-inclusive Living Vehicle Pro-EV camper starts at $429,995, and it is the company’s top-of-the-line variant. Living Vehicle also offers three other configurations at a lower cost: Core, Max, and Pro, with the entry-level model priced from $249,995. The Pro-EV is available to order now, and depending on options, it takes 10-12 months to build.
