Over 20,000 Nissan e-NV200 were already delivered. The cumulative number of orders of the 40 kWh version crossed 10,000 in Europe.
Nissan celebrates 10,000 orders placed for the e-NV200 van and Combi passenger variants in Europe, since the introduction of the 40 kWh battery version in February 2018.
Together with the 24 kWh version, available since 2014, more than 20,000 e-NV200 were delivered to customers, which makes it the most successful electric van after the Renault Kangoo Z.E.
According to Nissan, the e-NV200 is the top BEV in 10 European markets, including the UK, Italy, Norway and the Netherlands.
Growing sales of e-NV200 is proof that an increase in sales is directly correlated with battery capacity/range. The original 24 kWh was definitely too small for such a big vehicle in our opinion (it was not enough even for LEAF), while the 40 kWh seems to be a reasonable compromise between range and cost.
The question is whether new 62 kWh version battery also will be borrowed from the Nissan LEAF e+.
Nissan e-NV200 specs:
- WLTP rating is 200 km (125 miles) in Combined Cycle or up to 301 km (187 miles) in Urban City Cycle
- 40 kWh battery
- 80 kW electric motor
- 6.6 kW on-board charger and CHAdeMO inlet
- payload of up to 705 kg (depends on version) or 7 seat Evalia version
