Opel, together with its British brand Vauxhall, is introducing a plug-in hybrid version of the Grandland X crossover, which will be available for sale in the coming weeks with first deliveries planned in early 2020.
The Opel Grandland X Hybrid4 and Vauxhall Grandland X Hybrid4 share the plug-in hybrid Hybrid4 powertrain directly from PSA Group, which announced it also for Peugeot models.
With a 13.2 kWh battery, the Grandland X Hybrid4 should be able to go 50 km (31 miles) under the WLTP test cycle, and thanks to two 80 kW electric motor (one per axle) is also all-wheel drive.
The black hood presented in the photos is an option.
Opel/Vauxhall plan to have electric versions of all models by 2024. Within 20 months, several new all-electric cars will be introduced:

- 13.2 kWh battery for 50 km (31 miles) of WLTP all-electric range (60 km NEDC)
- all-wheel drive with 220 kW/300 hp of system output: 147 kW/200 hp 1.6L PureTech combined with the new e-EAT8 8-speed automatic transmission (Electric Efficient Automatic Transmission) and 80 kW/110 hp electric motor in the front plus another 80 kW/110 hp electric motor for rear axle
- charging using 3.3 kW on-board charger in around 4h or around 2h using 6.6 kW optional charger
