Porsche Taycan Interior, Instrument Panel Caught In Spy Photo

Views of Porsche’s full EV keep getting clearer.

The slow tease ahead of the full reveal of Porsche’s all-electric car this summer continues to get more… revealing.

These are new interior spy shots of the upcoming Porsche Taycan electric car, featured on TaycanForum.com. One of the photos features the instrument panel relatively clearly, where an all-digital display replaces the mostly analog setup on Porsche’s internal combustion engined vehicles – and features just three dials instead of the more traditional five from the automaker’s heritage. Considering it’s likely very configurable, this could just be one display option. But a push-button power button to the left of the steering wheel remains a nod to Porsche tradition, as does the Sport Chrono stopwatch on the dash top.

Another shot of the entire dashboard shows that the production Taycan’s interior sticks closely to the design laid out in the 2015 Mission E concept car. A low dash also incorporates what appears to be some kind of display in front of the passenger’s seat, possibly for climate and audio functions. It also doesn’t look like the center tunnel is swathed in the numerous touch-sensitive buttons as in the Panamera and other current Porsches, although it will take a closer shot to verify that.

Amid all of the spy photos, Porsche itself has been (very) slowly building interest for the vehicle. It’s worked, considering the company is already anticipating demand will outstrip the planned 20,000 cars for the first year – and that’s even before other variants such as a Sport Turismo have been formally announced.
