An electric car start-up has unveiled its new concept car which looks extremely promising. Human Horizons, premium electric car brand called HiPhi and its first car ‘1’ which has some intriguing design elements. Firstly the exterior looks directly influenced by the Model X with some Falcon Wing-inspired doors with the top portion attached to the roof rising up to the centre. However, the whole door is not attached and the rear-doors are opening the opposite ways to the front like on a Rolls Royce.
It is not only seemingly inspired by Tesla on the exterior but also on the inside with the large screen dominating.
However, the screen in the centre is floating away from the dashboard and is angled towards the roof on a 45-degree angle.
There is also a full-screen behind the driver which looks like the MBUX system Mercedes has adopted as well as an additional huge screen mounted to the are where the glovebox usually lives.
The centre console also looks to be made from brush aluminium and the car looks to be a six-seater, with three pairs of seats.
It is fitted with a number of sensors and ‘the world’s first Human Oriented Architecture (HOA), which is self-adaptive and learning to create diversified solutions that will enhance the user experience.’
Powering the vehicle is a 96kWh battery pack which has ‘up to 400-miles of range’ on a single charge.
However, take this stat with a pinch of salt as this is reportedly on the outdated NEDC system.
The car can also sprint from 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds utilising its dual-motor drivetrain.
The company recently acquired an old Kia factory to retrofit it to built the HiPhi 1 by 2021.
A first the car will initially be made available for Chinese buyers only but it could produce vehicles globally over time.
