You can hunt down any amount of $10K and under cars from the fun of an iOS app, thanks to the new official Craigslist app.
Craigslist is one of the best places on the internet to spend countless hours hunting for your next project car, parts or the occasional free couch. The big problem with Craigslist was that it didn’t have an official mobile app, which meant you had to use your phone or tablet’s browser to chase down that 427-cid Ford tunnel port engine you’ve always wanted or your next 1986 Buick Regal. No more: Craigslist now has an official iOS app. Yes, there were a handful of unofficial apps that helped you scroll your way into Project Car Hell. The difference: This one is legit, and it’s backed by the folks who own the site.
The user experience is about what you’d expect from an app version of Craigslist. Opening the app, you’ll be asked where you want to search. Afterward, you’ll land on a page that allows you to start browsing. Of course, you’ll likely immediately jump to the search bar and start digging for your own Craigslist gold. Craigslist stores your recent searches under your history tab, but you can delete these if you need to hide the fact you’re hunting for yet another non-running project car from a spouse or significant other.
Downloading the app is as easy as heading to the Apple App Store and searching for Craigslist. If you can’t find it for some reason, it’s currently ranked No. 10 in the list of shopping apps. While you’re diving into the app, you can hunt for more cars under $10K … or if you’re feeling adventurous this winter, more cars under $1,000.
