Have $10 million to blow on something car related? We’re pretty jealous—that can get you a lot of Miatas. But if you’d rather not spend your money on cars, we can recommend something even more exciting: an entire race track.
Built in 2008, Oregon Raceway Park is a 2.3-mile, 16-turn road course located in Grass Valley, Oregon, just over two hours east of Portland. When we took a Lamborghini Huracán Evo and a Ducati Panigale V4 S to the track back in 2019, we called it a “thin noodle of tarmac draped over rolling hills,” with “considerable elevation changes and multiple blind crests that find you charging full-throttle toward blue sky.” It’s a must-visit for anyone in the area. And, if you have enough cash, you can even own it outright, according to this ad on Loopnet.
The owners of Oregon Raceway Park have listed the facility, as well as the 434 acres of property, for sale. In addition to the fantastic asphalt, there are restrooms with showers, an aid room for EMT use, a two-pump gas station, a 12-bay garage building, as well as paved grid and paddock areas. There’s also over 100 acres of undeveloped land that can be used for farming or other redevelopment possibilities.
If you’re curious about actually buying the place, there is a small catch: According to the ad, all current reservations, future bookings, leases, and contracts currently maintained by the facility must be honored by the new owner. That means you can’t just buy it and kick out all of the cars currently stored by private owners on-site, or cancel an upcoming track day or club race—you have to let them in. But eventually, after all the bookings have past and the leases run out, you can have it all to yourself. If that’s you’re looking for.
