It’s not often you see a video of a real car and think “that must be real, because I don’t think Forza would allow you to be quite that ridiculous.” But here we are.
This Corrado is widebodied almost beyond recognition for competition in European hill climb competition and it howls like a banshee that stubbed its toe.
That’s because the drivetrain for this “Corrado R 2.0” comes from an A4 touring car. The naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine making 310 hp and revving up to more than 10,000 rpm, which is all connected to a 6-speed sequential gearbox.
Not a bad combination of attributes, especially when you consider that the whole thing tips the scales at just 800 kg (less than 1,800 lbs). The car was built by Minichberger Motorsport and owned by Markus Reich.
Makes us want to get back out to see other ridiculous cars and the video that comes from European hill climbing.
