The Neon had a good 10-year-run, but the little car’s sales magic had mostly dissipated by its final model year of 2005. DaimlerChrysler still hoped to get a few youthful customers to sign on the line which is dotted, though, and so the marketing wizards decided they’d put together some of of the kind of music that the kids are all crazy for these days, assembling some of the worst rap lyrics ever put down on paper.
Imagine being the struggling rapper hired to perform — with a straight face — lines such as “Here comes the hot Neon SXT/Always sporty and SO XTRA GOOD.” The SXT was a pretty good deal, in fact, with a pretty decent audio system and alloy wheels as standard equipment.
