Avan Motors, a manufacturer of electric scooters in India, has changed its brand name and identity from January 2020, renaming itself as Nexzu Mobility. With the new name, the company intends to transform into an end-to-end electric mobility solutions brand. According to a statement, the company will not just transform the brand name, but also its existing product portfolio, logo, and market proposition. The company intends to establish itself as a significant player in electric mobility, with a mission towards becoming the country’s most-preferred future mobility company.
“It’s a pleasure to share our new identity with the world. As Nexzu comes into force, we want to reiterate that customer-centricity will remain at the heart of all our endeavours. We will continue to create innovate new products that will delight our customers – in both B2B and B2C spaces – and subsequently revolutionise the country’s electric mobility space,” said Rohit Goidani, Brand Head – Nexzu Mobility.
Established in 2015, Avan Motors has already made a significant mark on the country’s urban mobility space. Headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra, the company’s manufacturing facility is spread over an area of 22,000 square feet and includes customer display and R&D centres. The company has 60 touch points across the country, and is planning to expand both its pan-India footprint, as well as product line-up.
As part of the brand revamp, the company is also strengthening its product portfolio, with two new electric scooters – Dextro and Dextro Plus, along with three electric bicycles. Nexzu Mobility is also looking to expand into customised electric mobility solutions, for ride-sharing/rental companies, corporates, catering to corporate leasing, corporate purchase, employee preferential programs, and government as well as private tenders for electric vehicles.
