The 2019 Hyundai Elantra Facelift will be launched in India on October 3, 2019. In fact, Hyundai Motor Company will start taking bookings from September 25, 2019. The photos reveal that the new Elantra facelift will get a new hexagonal grille along with redesigned, triangular shaped headlamp cluster with LED lamps and LED daytime running lights as well. The tail-lamps are new too and have been re-designed in order to sit well with the theme of the overall design. The alloy wheels have been redesigned too and the car definitely looks much sharper with the new creases along the profile and on the bonnet as well.

The global-spec 2019 Hyundai Elantra gest a bunch of new safety features like – forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, lane departure warning with active lane control and a rear-view camera with cross-traffic alert. Additionally, it also gets a pedestrian detection system and a feature called Safe Exit Assist that alerts the passengers of a potential danger while exiting the sedan. The India-spec model will definitely get some of the features mentioned above. We also expect the new Elantra to get Hyundai’s BlueLink connected car technology along with a comprehensive list of creature comforts which are usually seen in the executive sedan segment.
Under the hood, we believe that the 2019 Hyundai Elantra to continue getting the existing 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 1.6-litre diesel motor for the time being. Transmission options for both the engines include a 6-speed manual gearbox and Hyundai could to also introduce the DSG automatic transmission which is seen on the global model. Hyundai has not revealed the exact engine details yet but we believe that the new Elantra will get BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engines right at the launch.
