If you didn’t think Toyota’s TRD special edition 86 from last year was, well, special enough, we think this this one might be a bit more interesting. It’s called the British Green Limited edition, and it comes complete with unique wheels and a matching two-tone black and tan interior. Unfortunately, it’s not coming to the US.
If you came here wondering whether Toyota has finally given the 86 the forced induction it deserves, sorry, but this special edition is mostly cosmetic. The main attraction, the paint, is complemented by a set of 17-inch aluminum wheels painted in a dark bronze, backed by red Brembo brake calipers on all four corners. The car also gets Sachs dampers, a sweet trunk-mounted spoiler, and an underbody floorpan. Power from the naturally aspirated boxer-four remains the same at 205 horsepower, sent to the rear wheels via either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic.
The interior gets unique two-tone black and tan seats sporting contrast black stitching on the bolsters. There’s also tan stitching on the steering wheel and shifter boot to spruce things up further. Like most special edition Japanese sports cars, Toyota doesn’t seem to have any plans to bring the British Green Limited edition to the US. Pricing on the company’s Japanese site lists it available for 3,251,880 Yen, or around $29,500 at current exchange rates. It’ll only be available to order until May 31st, 2019, so if you’re in Japan, you better act fast.
