2018 Cruisin’ the Coast…Thursday Photo Gallery

Here we are back at Cruisin’ the Coast 2018, and welcome to Thursday. By now the event is in full swing with live music at the venues and cars everywhere. With over 7,000 hot rods of every description rolling through town this place is alive with cars. The Mississippi weather has been a bit warmer than normal but it has been all sunshine and a nice soft breeze off the Gulf makes it quite pleasant. If you’re a roadster guy Cruisin’ the Coast is the place to be, particularly for those warm evenings rolling along the bay.

Today we spent time in several towns with a bulk of our time in Ocean Springs but we managed to hit towns on the way down to Bay St. Louis too. The stages were filled with live entertainment and all of the cruise sights were buzzing with activity, particularly Pass Christian this afternoon and early evening when there oh-so-popular burn out contest take place. Crowds filled the area with a rather loud roar and a cloud of blue smoke rising from the center of the crowd. Of course safety personal were on hand to keep things safe.

Tomorrow will also be the beginning of live entertainment at the cruise sites with live stages on hand and of course each town is filled with great restaurants (if you like sea food have we got an event for you!) We continued our search for recipients of the prestigious Painless Performance Products Top 100 for 2019 awards and we sure have a lot to choose from. For those not familiar with the format, every year we choose ten special cars from ten special events and they constitute our Top 100 for the year. The recognition for these car owners includes a cool windshield sticker and nicely embroidered jacket, all from our good friends at Painless Performance Products… thanks guys!

Every day we find more reasons why this event should be on every hot rodders bucket list, and the list seems endless. The event takes place in no less than nine unique coastal towns so there is plenty to see and do. Cruisin’ the Coast is simply a fun week.

And here’s the real good news, there is still time for you join the fun, so come on down! You’ll be greeted by good weather, great volunteers and great fun. Cruisin’ the Coast lasts through Sunday so there is plenty of time to arrive, go to an auction, a great swap meet, a hot rod sales corral. Yes, for approximately 45 miles of beautiful Gulf Coast hot rods of every description are seen heading in virtually every direction and it lasts into the evening, so come on down there is still plenty of time to enjoy Cruisin’ the Coast.
