Kawasaki has launched the Ninja ZX-10R priced at Rs. 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Ninja ZX-10R is based around a cast aluminium frame and measures 2,085 mm in length, 740 mm in width, 1,145 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1,440 mm. The bike weighs 206 kg and comes with a 17-litre fuel tank.
The new Ninja ZX-10R gets a few upgrades such as a more powerful engine with finger follower valve actuation, diamond-like carbon coating on finger follower, cylinder head ready for High Lift Cam, red cylinder head cover and Kawasaki Quick Shifter-Dual Direction (KQS). The Ninja ZX-10R is also available as a single seater in the Indian market.
Powering the bike is the same 998cc, in-line 4-cylinder engine. It now produces 200 BHP @ 13,500 rpm (210 BHP with the Ram Air) and 114.9 Nm of torque @ 11,200 rpm and comes paired with a 6-speed transmission. It has three power modes. The bike rides on 43 mm upside down fork suspension at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by twin 330 mm Brembo discs at the front with 4-piston calipers and a single 220 mm disc at the rear with a single piston caliper setup.
Other features include traction control, launch control, Kawasaki Cornering Management Function, Kawasaki Engine Brake Control, ABS and an Ohlins electronic steering damper.
The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is available in Lime Green colour option with Ebony and Metallic Graphite Gray graphics.
