Triumph Motorcycles India will launch the 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS on March 25, 2020. The new Street Triple RS gets updated with an engine with a meatier mid-range and minor visual updates, including the new LED headlights with strips of LED daytime running lights on the twin headlamps. The new Street Triple will meet the latest Euro 5 and Bharat Stage VI (BS6) emission regulations. The new Street Triple RS will be Triumph’s first motorcycle launch in 2020, and will be followed by the updated Triumph Tiger 900 range in a couple of months.

Visually, the new Street Triple RS retains the same dimensions, same silhouette as well as the same chassis, but the subtle changes in styling lend the new model give it a hint of aggression – in particular, the eyebrow-like LED DRL strips on the headlights. The TFT instrument console has a new design as well, and the body panels, flyscreen, side panels, seat cowl and belly pan. Two new colours will debut on the 2020 Street Triple RS – Silver Ice with Diablo Red and Aluminium Silver decals, and Matte Jet Black with Aluminium Silver and Yellow decals.

The engine has been tuned with Triumph’s Moto2 engineering team, and the 765 cc, in-line triple has 7 per cent less rolling inertia, and with a new exhaust cam, new intake duct, lighter crank and clutch, the result is a crisper soundtrack as well as meatier mid-range performance, with 9 per cent more power between 6,000 and 8,000 rpm. Peak power is the same 121 bhp at 11,750 rpm and peak torque of 79 Nm at 9,350 rpm. The 2020 Triumph Street Triple RS tips the scales with 187 kg kerb weight, and will be priced at around ₹ 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Prices and availability will be announced on March 25, 2020.
