Yamaha has revealed the 2022 XSR900 globally. The new model gets several updates including a bigger engine, revised electronics, a new frame and much more.
Powering the 2022 Yamaha XSR900 is an 889cc, 3-cylinder engine that makes 117 BHP @ 10,000 rpm and 93 Nm @ 7,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox accompanied by an assist-and-slipper clutch. This engine can also be found on the Yamaha MT-09.
The 2022 Yamaha XSR900 uses a new cast alloy Deltabox frame. It is said to be lighter and, thus, enhances the motorcycle’s handling characteristics. The new model also features a 3.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, cornering ABS, 6-axis IMU, multiple riding modes, lean-sensitive traction control system and more.
Weighing at 193 kg (wet), the 2022 Yamaha XSR900 is 2,155 mm long, 860 mm wide and 1,155 mm tall. It has a seat height of 810 mm. The braking duties are handled by twin 298 rotors up-front and a single 245 mm disc at the back. The suspension setup includes a pair of fully adjustable, gold-finished inverted KYB front forks and a rear mono-shock.
