Mahindra’s Nashik plant reached a production milestone when the 25th lakh vehicle rolled off the assembly line. The 25th lakh car produced at the facility was a Scorpio.
Mahindra’s Nashik facility is spread over 147 acres and has a production capacity of 2,10,000 units.
Production first started in 1981 with the FJ Mini Bus. Back then, the factory produced just 8 vehicles per day. Today, more than 700 vehicles are manufactured here. These include models like the Scorpio, Marazzo, Bolero, e-Verito, Ambulance, Scorpio SC/DC and Thar.
