According to a media report, the Chetak electric scooter will be sold through KTM dealerships. It is expected to go on sale sometime next year.
Bajaj is likely to position the Chetak as a premium offering. The company expects to gain around 6% market share in its segment.
The Chetak e-scooter uses an IP67 rated battery pack that comes with an Intelligent Battery Management System. The battery can be recharged using a standard household 5-15 amp outlet. The scooter has two riding modes – Eco and Sport and comes with an regenerative braking system.
