BMW has launched the F 850 GS Adventure in India. It will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) and is priced at Rs. 15.40 lakh (Ex-showroom).
The F 850 GS Adventure features an asymmetric LED headlamp with LED daytime running light and LED turn signals. It has a low double seat, wide enduro footrests, adjustable shift and foot brake levers and center stand. The air intake is positioned higher compared standard bikes. It also features engine protection bars and a stainless steel luggage rack. The instrument cluster consists of an analogue tachometer and MID. A 6.5-inch display with Bluetooth connectivity and a multi-controller is available as an option.
The F 850 GS Adventure is powered by an 853cc, water-cooled, 2-cylinder engine that produces 94 BHP @ 8,250 rpm. It uses an anti-hopping clutch that is claimed to reduce engine drag torque. As standard, there are two riding modes – Rain and Road and Automatic Stability Control (ASC). The options consists of Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), ABS Pro and two more riding modes – Dynamic and Enduro.
