BMW has launched the M2 Competition in India. The two-door sports car will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) and is priced at Rs. 79.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
The M2 Competition is a sportier version of the standard M2. It features a gloss black twin kidney grille and adaptive LED headlights at the front. It has M side gills with M2 badges and M ORVMs. The car comes with a rear spoiler and quad exhausts with black tips.
On the inside, the M2 Competition comes equipped with M Sport seats with illuminated M2 badges and M seat belts. It has gloss black and Pearl Chrome trim finishes, while the headliner is finished in Anthracite. The car comes with a multi-function M leather steering wheel and M style instrument cluster dials with red needles and white illumination. The centre console houses a 6.5-inch infotainment system connected to a 7-speaker 205-watt audio system. An 8.8-inch screen with Apple CarPlay connectivity, navigation and a 12-speaker 360-watt Harman Kardon audio system is available as an option. BMW’s iDrive interface is fitted as standard, while iDrive with touch controller is optional.
The M2 Competition is powered by a 3.0-litre, in-line 6-cylinder engine that produces 405 BHP @ 6,250 rpm and 550 Nm of torque @ 2,350-5,230 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. The car has three driving modes – Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
Other features include Active M Differential, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Park Distance Control (PDC), ABS, airbags and EfficientDynamics features like engine start/stop and brake energy regeneration.
The BMW M2 Competition is available in 5 colour options – Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Long Beach Blue, Sunset Orange and Hockenheim Silver.
