N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Motors took delivery of a Nexon EV on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
The Nexon EV was launched in January this year. The SUV uses a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers an electric motor which has an output of 127 BHP and 245 Nm. The company claims that the car can do a 0-100 km/h sprint in 9.9 seconds. The car has an ARAI certified range of over 312 km and the battery can be charged to 80% using a DC fast charger in 1 hour. Using a standard AC charger, the battery can be recharged in 8-9 hours.
The Nexon EV is now available on a monthly subscription basis as well. Customers can opt for 18, 24 or 36 months tenure, for which the monthly subscription rate (inclusive of taxes) is Rs. 47,900, Rs. 44,900 and Rs. 41,900 respectively.
Earlier this month, Tata celebrated a production milestone as the 1,000th Nexon EV rolled off the production line.
