The 2020 Formula 1 season might not happen, or at least not on schedule, but Codemasters’ F1 2020 video game will be here July 10 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and for the first time, Google Stadia platforms.
The big news is the ability to be “the 11th team on the grid,” by creating your own squad, livery and driver, competing against the established players. Imagine beating Lewis Hamilton like a drum in your own (insert last name here) F1 car! The my team mode will work alongside career mode, and the seasons can be shortened from 22 races to 16 or 10.
F1 2020 will also return the split-screen game mode for local, in-room competition (as soon as social distancing is over, anyway), as well as options to help new players adjust to the breakneck pace of racing F1.
There will be a couple of special editions to look out for, too. The Deluxe Schumacher Edition adds four classic race cars: the Jordan 191, the Benetton B194, the Benetton B195 and the Ferrari F1-2000. The F1 2020: F1 Seventy Edition will receive an exclusive set of in-game items, and a Limited Edition F1 2020 Steelbook will also be available in certain markets.
Get racing in F1 2020 on July 10!
