The Gurkha 5-door doesn’t seem to have front and rear diff-locks as with the 3-door version.
Force Motors is gearing up to introduce a 5-door version of the Gurkha. Early prototypes have already been spotted testing on the road, and a recent spy image suggests that the off-roader is likely to get a shift-on-fly 4WD system.
The standard Gurkha 3-door comes with a manually operated transfer case. In this image, one can clearly see a rotary controller instead of a manual shifter. Interestingly, the car doesn’t seem to have front and rear diff-locks as with the 3-door version.
The 5-door Gurkha is likely to use the same engine, though. The 2.6-litre diesel engine produces 90 BHP and 250 Nm and is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission and an all-wheel-drive system.
The Gurkha 5-door also gets a few changes on the outside. The circular headlamps have been replaced with rectangular units, a 2-slat grille, 18-inch wheels and a snorkel.
