The Force Gurkha will compete with the Mahindra Thar in the lifestyle SUV space.
Force Motors has released yet another teaser of the upcoming Gurkha. The off-roader is expected to debut in the coming weeks.
The latest teaser partially reveals the Gurkha’s front grille. It gets a redesigned bonnet with the so-called ‘shark grille’ on the sides. That said, the SUV still looks similar to the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon.
The Gurkha gets circular headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, a snorkel, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, a touchscreen infotainment system, captain seats for the second row and side-facing jump seats at the rear.
The new Gurkha is expected to be powered by a 2.6-litre diesel engine producing 89 BHP and 260 Nm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, a low range gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. An independent front suspension and a rigid axle at the rear will further add to its off-road capabilities.
