The all-electric hypercar will arrive next year.
Prominent high-end car dealer H.R. Owen will be the exclusive retail partner for Pininfarina in the UK.
The company, which sells Ferrari and Rolls-Royce products in the UK, as well as those from other brands, will sell and service the Italian firm’s Battista all-electric supercar from its London headquarters when it arrives next year.
“We are delighted to add Automobili Pininfarina to the H.R. Owen portfolio of the world’s leading premium sports and luxury automotive brands,” said H.R. Owen CEO Ken Choo. “The Pininfarina Battista is the hypercar of the future, featuring world-beating performance and innovative EV technology in a beautiful form.
“Our hugely experienced and talented team look forward to ensuring an ownership experience as revolutionary as Battista itself,” Choo added. “The addition of Pininfarina further reinforces the vision of our owner and Berjaya Group founder, Vincent Tan, in placing H.R. Owen at the forefront of the electric revolution underway in the hypercar segment.”
The Pininfarina Battista is the most powerful road car to ever come out of Italy, eclipsing all efforts from more established car ‘makers’ like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Pagani. Rene Wollmann, who led the development team for the Mercedes-AMG One hypercar, worked on the Battista in his new role as programme director, sportscars for Automobili Pininfarina.
A Rimac-supplied 120 kWh battery pack helps deliver 874 bhp and 1,694 lb-ft of torque, which is enough to rocket it from 0-60 in less than two seconds, to 186 mph in under 12 seconds, and onto a top speed of 218 mph.
Just 150 Battistas will be made, each with a starting price of just under £2 million. It made its UK debut last weekend at the 77th Member’s Meeting at Goodwood. H.R Owen representatives attended the event to meet prospective customers.
